The only reality in life is the encounter
Martin Buber
This is how the Jewish philosopher of religion, Martin Buber, once put it.
During an interdenominational walk through Kassel’s city centre, we will encounter people from the three major world religions who will introduce us to their places of worship. We will be welcomed three times: into a synagogue, a church and a mosque.
In addition to receiving information about the buildings, we will learn how community life unfolds – and where it has an impact on civil society.
In the short visits of about 20 minutes each, similarities and differences will be revealed in exemplary sequences – and with them starting points for interdenominational dialogue will emerge.
