“A person is only forgotten, if his/her name is forgotten”

Gunter Deming created „Stolpersteine/ Stumbling Stones“- 10 x10 cm concrete blocks providing some brief information about the person and his/her fate during the Nazi regime. After detailed research on the victims fate, the stones are placed in front of their last self-choosen place of residence. There are more than 75,000 “Stumbling Stones” in Europe, 270 of them are placed in Kassel – and more are in preparation.
